GENERAL RULES
1. One account per character please! And please name your character his/her full name. Please no flashy names or icons. ex. John Doe. That's all you need.
2. We require a Face Claim for your character when you're creating them. They can be any body, including yourself, if you so wish. But they need to be a real, living breathing person or your character won't be accepted. Why you ask? Because it's too hard to keep track of copyright images that you "say" you made. This way, we won't have any copyright issues.
3. The storyline and plot of PG is entirely up to you. If you don't make plots or don't roleplay, this site will, initially, go nowhere. If you join PG, don't do so just because it looks nice. Do so because you really want to get involved. The story cannot go on without your own ideas.
4. We follow Proboards rules and are a 13+ site. We have adult material, language and adult situations. There's nothing we can do to stop you from joining if you are under 13 but let me remind you, you have been warned. No complaining that you can't handle something because we will literally ignore you. You joined at your own risk.
5. So assuming you all 13+, I would also assume you know better than to powerplay or Godmode. Please don't let me explain what it is. If you don't know what they are, then you don't belong here.
6. We do not have a word limit in our posts but you are expected to be able to give someone something in your post to work off of. If a staff member gets a complaint that someone is really bad, you will be talked to. If you cannot improve, you will kindly be asked to leave.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. Groups in PG, are never set in stone. If you start out as a civilian, there's a good chance, if you plot it out with someone, that you can easily become a savior or a rebel. Or if you start out as a savior there's a good chance you can easily become a runaway. Staff members just need to be informed of these changes so they can properly move your character.
2. The shop is a pretty fun idea for PG. Aside from the normal items you can purchase, artists or Hunters, depending on if it's the OOC shop or the IC shop can be paid for their services. For instance, if you want a Hunter to track down someone specific, you would simply head to the shop, check the list of registered Hunters and pay THEM for their services. Same goes with someone's artwork. If an artist would like to sell their avis or siggys, they can do so through the OOC shop. You can choose from the list of registered artists and pay them for their artwork. It's a good way to gain extra coin for those items in the shops you just can't reach with just roleplaying.
3. When you are admitted into the project, you are housed into an apartment with four other occupants. Normally, there will two men and three females. You will be living together for most of your lives unless the Project feels you would be better paired with someone else. The goal is procreation but most admitted into the Project, since most are forced, would rather spit in the faces of the Government and refuses. Most take advantage of the body enhancers and the top notch books and teachings they can get. It is entirely your choice. Conform with the Government or rebel in your own way.
4. After giving birth within the project, your child is taken from you so it's health and skills can be assessed as they grow. You are more than willing to visit but you cannot lay claim on your child till after their fifth year when they are allowed to go home with you. The Facility can do what they want when they want to till you get your child back. Until age five, they are the property of the project. If you give birth outside the confines of the Project, of course you are free to raise your child however you wish. However, don't let the Government find it.
5. Body enhancers come in a range of physical changes that you will find located in the IC shop. There is no limit to what you can change about your character but keep in mind they all cost something. If you have an idea to add, just PM a staff member with your idea and the price. You can be paid for this idea if other members buy it.
6. "Going to a Better Place" here on Project Genesis is what the Government tells you if you fail an exam. However, you're not actually going anywhere. They kill you. So, here's how we work it here. You have to CHOOSE, through plot ideas and such, to fail an exam and you can either escape or let your character be killed off. This WILL NOT happen randomly to your character. It is completely your choice. A staff member needs to be notified if you want this to happen to your character though.
7. PG is futuristic, that means there are futuristic weapons and vehicles. As we obviously do not have any of these in real life, we tend to make them up. However, I don't want some crazy weapons or vehicles here so I've set a few standards of what can be. Vehicles are considered hover crafts. Basically your home car with a space ship like feel to it. It's called a "Hover car" but doesn't mean it hovers off the ground. It can fly around the city. However, there's a height limit to them. They can only go so far above the city. Above that is the Government airspace. Their "hover cars" are basically fighter jets with more fire power and less speed. They can go where ever they want and can rise above the normally hover car limit. It's completely your choice on what they actually look like.
Weapons, on the other hand, are a lot like normal weapons today however we no longer use bullets. Each weapon is equipped with a dial that has, "Stun, tranquilize, or Kill" labeled on them and they shoot a lazer beam. Yes, totally Star Wars, I know. Don't judge me! Killing anyone before their Exam is strictly against the laws of the Government is very often enforced.
8. Rebels come in a variety of people from Runaways to civilians and you have the choice of joining a particular group or making your own group. The Rebels have broken off into specific groups that pertain to certain things within the Government. These groups all work together but they also have their own leaders. It's a lot easier to consider them Clans. They are always seeking out Runaways with body enhancers in the hopes to use them against the Government. See The Rebels for more information on the different Rebel Clans.
9. Agents are the Government. They follow their own rules and do whatever they want. (Follow site rules please.) They are the ones that enforce Project Genesis and they are the ones who decide pass or fail exams. Most of the time, they are seen in the Government housing facilities or the medical facilities but you can always find them in the Capital building. See The Agents for more information on the Government Agents.
10. Hunters are Government paid hound dogs. They are given a name and a picture and are sent out to track them down, whether they be civilian, runaway or rebel. They are extremely good at their work and have even dove into the new gene splicing operations to make them better trackers. See The Hunters for more information on the Hunters.
11. Saviors is the name the Government gave those who are in the Project. It was an attempt to make them not sound like a test subject. However, since most people in the project are forced in, the name Savior has become something of a joke. See The Saviors for more information on the Saviors.
12. Runaways are labeled so if they ran from their failed exam or if they ran from the Project. It's not hard to escape but most don't attempt it. Those that do, are forever labeled as Runaways. Most runaways stick to the Wilds' rather than the city and there has been rumors that there is a group of runaways forming. But no one has been able to find them. See The Runaways for more information on the Runaways.
13. Civilians are just that, people who haven't committed to anything, be it Project Genesis or the Rebel Clans. They are just glad to have survived the Apocalypse. These are the group of people the Government has been trying to round up the most and these are the people the Rebel Clans are trying to have join their groups. See The Civilians for more information on the Civilians.
